Are You Missing Something?
Are you missing something?
Crayons, check. Notebook, check. Backpack, check.
Have you seen your Eye Doctor yet? NO?!
Then you’re not quite ready!
1 of every 4 children has an undetected vision problem that interferes with his/her learning.
Vision screenings at school test only a small part of the visual skills that your child
needs to succeed.
Over the years,
(Gardner Eye Care has been taking care of children’s eye health and vision since 1938!),
technology has made it possible to take care of kids’ eyes in some amazing ways.
There is no match, however, for old-fashioned paying attention.
Teachers, parents, grandparents, coaches, etc. could really help your children
by noticing behaviors and then reporting the behaviors to us when you
bring your children in for his/her annual eye health and vision evaluation.
Here are some behaviors and some possible vision problems
that the behaviors might indicate:
Do you notice any of these behaviors in your child?
The possible vision problems are listed next to the behavior.
For a more complete list of these behaviors,
write to us at ContactUs@GardnerEyeCare.com

How do you identify a vision problem?
Children should have an annual comprehensive eye health and vision examination
by a licensed Optometrist and whenever visual symptoms are noticed
or if your child is not achieving his/her potential.
Many of these vision problems will not be detected
during a school vision screening or limited vision assessment
as part of a school physical or routine pediatric health evaluation.
